“ Haven't been to Granny's in a while..decided to go after church yesterday.. all I have to say is I WAS NOT Disappointed.. the food was delicious... our waitress was fantastic and superb.. the cost was not all that bad considering the price of so called Fast Food..Great JOB Granny's Buffet!!!! ”
“ Best southern cooking in the area and the very best bread pudding anywhere in the world. I appreciate the servers.... they keep the drinks filled and are always smiling! I wish the owners would clean up/upgrade a little. I never use the dark dingy bathrooms and it just seems like a dive. Doesn't stop me from going though ”
“ Y’all! If you ever get a chance to eat here, go! It is so flipping good. The buffet has real down-home cooking. We were passing through and Googled “Restaurants Near Me” and Granny’s popped up. We took a chance and my mouth was so glad we did! That food made my tongue try and slap my brains out! Granny put her foot off in that! In case y’all don’t speak Southern- the food is delicious. ”
“ Definitely sketchy looking but the best soul food restaurant I've been to in a long time. When that brother came out the back with that metal mixing bowl full of freshly fried chicken yelling "hot behind y'all" I knowed there was a God and I was in the right place... My heart started singing pretty wings as the chicken fell from that greasy bowl. Then I saw whole catfish fried to perfection and I almost mowed down an elderly couple and a little white boy... yeah, sorry about that. Catfish is to me as that ice house is to Superman- it took me home. If you're in Monroe LA stop here the parking lot will be full 10 out of 10 highly recommend Everyone in the back looks like their momma got sugar and pressure issues...the food was great! ”
“ If you're from the south you've eaten in dozens of restaurants like Granny's. My grandfather used to call this a "family-style" buffet restaurant. On the day I visited they had fried chicken, meatloaf, fried catfish, Salisbury steak, greens, black-eyed peas, cornbread, rice and gravy, green beans, cabbage, french fries, smashed taters, cobbler (different types), watermelon, strawberries, fruit cocktail, pudding, cakes of different types, pies of different types, coffee, tea, soft drinks, juices, too many things to list here. The staff who work at Granny's were incredible. Attentive, prompt, and very hospitable. You won't find better people anywhere. ”
“ Loved it! Like sitting down at my GiGi's kitchen table . And Roy, which I found out is a regular, he loves soup and to tell you jokes..made my day.. Thank you! Will definitely be back! Hours are 10:30pm - 2pm weekdays and on weekends.. So if you want authentic home cooking.. Granny's is the place ”
